Wilkinsburg

These photos are pictures I took on a snowy day in Wilkinsburg, PA, where I have lived for the past 6 months. The neighborhood is Hamnett Place, nudged up against a busway that will take you into the rest of Pittsburgh. This day was so icy that I had to have little metal tracks on my boots so I wouldn't smash up the camera when I slipped and fell. I need to take some sunny photos of our street now that it is green and warm. The red porch is no longer sagging. Two huge red crumbling mansions were bulldozed soon as the weather warmed.

i made this print with the intent to cut out all the little guys and collage them into a book i am making. i also liked this print by itself, so in this version, i handcolored it with watercolor. it is printed on rives lightweight paper.

Little Guys

this is a drawing with collage. it is just a detail. it is the first one i did and it is 22" x 30".
